Younger children and teenagers

  • Sibling groups of younger children

  • Children age 9+ who need long term/ permanent placements

If you're a more experienced carer, have experience in caring for disabled children or children with learning difficulties we also need to match carers with:

  • Children who have mild and moderate level learning difficulties
  • Children who have more complex disabilities
  • Parent and Child Placements (Usually mother and child- occasionally a new father and child)
  • Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking children and young people

How becoming an fp.c foster carer in West Berkshire can make a huge impact

Local placement is extremely important as it allows children to continue at existing schools, retain contact to friends and family and in the longer run it can facilitate arrangements for a child to return to their family where this is the right plan for the child. By becoming a pf.c foster carer in West Berkshire you can help us to achieve that goal. There is currently a very significant shortfall of foster carers, of all kinds, in West Berkshire. If you live in West Berkshire or nearby and are thinking of fostering we would very much like to hear from you.
