What does it cost to use our service?
The cost of providing a criminal records checks is made up of two parts. You will be charged the fee that the Criminal Records Bureau levy for the relevant level of check plus an admin fee ( currently £8 plus VAT) in respect of each application. The Criminal Records Bureau currently charges £36 for an enhanced level check and £26 for a standard level check for people in paid employment. The Criminal Records Bureau does not currently levy a fee in respect of applications from volunteers.
In general terms, a volunteer is defined as someone who does not receive remuneration in cash or kind in respect of activiites undertaken within the volunteer role.
