fp.c is registered with the Crimal Records Bureau to act as an Umbrella body for CRB checking purposes. This means that we can undertake Criminal Records Checks on behalf of other organisations who are not registered with the Criminal Records Bureau.

We have developed this service to assist both small and large organisations, including organisations that have lost their accreditation as a registered body following the implementation of the new regulations regarding volume and registration.

We work to provide a quality service for other agencies at a low, highly competetive cost. We simply charge a small admin fee (currently £8 plus VAT) to cover our admin costs in addition to the basic fee that is levied by the Criminal Records Bureau. We do not charge a registration fee. We do not charge an admin cost for applications from volunteers within relevant organisations within our local area - as we view this as making a contribution to community life.

The Basic Process

Following the completion of our registration process, the "registered person" within your organisation is provided with a quantity of blank application forms. When an application is needed, the registered person assists the applicant to complete the application form, verifies the individual's identity, countersigns the application form and forwards it to us.

We check and record each completed Disclosure Application Form before forwarding them to the Criminal Records Bureau to be processed. We can track the progress of completed applications using the online tracking service.
The individual applicant will be sent a copy of their Disclosure Certificate directly by the Criminal Records Bureau and a copy is sent to us for onwarding forwarding to you.
