How our Wokingham Fostering Services are rated
We are Tier 1 preferred provider of foster placements for Wokingham and all 5 other Berkshire unitary authorities as well as adjoining local authorities such as Hampshire and Surrey.
Our Tier 1 status means that when these authorities need a foster placement, they contact us first.
This means our carers in these areas are kept very busy.
The number of children referred to us as Tier 1 providers also enables us to make that there is a good match between each carer and the children that are placed with them. This careful process of matching carers and children together makes a big difference for carers and children and goes along way to ensuring that every placement is a success.
Our work with Wokingham and the need for local foster placements
We are currently working closely with our local authority colleagues in Wokingham to ensure that there are sufficient foster carers in the Wokingham area to meet the need for local placements. This is an important goal because local placement allows children to continue at existing schools, retain contact to friends and family and in the longer run it can facilitate arrangements for a child to return to their family where this is the right plan for the child .
if you think you might be able to help us achieve this important goal of ensuring there is a good foster home available locally for every child that needs one, we will be very pleased to hear from you.
